Encouragement

"Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6

Tips for Attending a Homeschool Convention

If you have never been to a homeschooling convention, you are in for a real treat. What could be more inspiring than simply being surrounded by hundreds, if not thousands, of other homeschoolers!

Of course, there is the practical side of conventions to consider, too. If you know what you are looking for, you might find good deals on materials. If you are trying to decide between two different publisher’s materials, you might be better able to make a decision after viewing the materials in person. If you are looking for encouragement in a particular area, you might come away with just what you need after listening to a keynote speaker. If you have always wondered who Charlotte Mason is, or if a classical education is right for your child, attending a workshop might give you the answers you seek. So how do you make the most of this valuable avenue of support?
